December Views Day 4~

Wandering these country roads today the world seemed infinitely...wild...open...
No sounds...other than the biting wind rushing through the grass, and whipping through my hair...The occasional click of my camera...and the crunch of my boots on gravel..

I paused on the hilltop...
Actually delighting at being alone out here in the prairie cold...
And I felt strangely...utterly connected...
To the long-ago abandoned church...

The distant snow covered Rocky Mountains...

These solitary trees...

I found myself touched by the impermanence of all of it...of everything really...The grey of the day hanging round my shoulders like a melancholy blanket...

So I wandered on home for a little tea...and afternoon karaoke...It was most definitely a Norah Jones kind of day...:)

I enjoy seeing the world through your eyes. Love that you ended with tea and singing.

Wonderful quiet images.

Thank you so much for waxing poetic today...
even December warrants words of retrospect every now and again.

Beautiful, my beautiful friend.

Oh me too! This was a joy to witness, your natural world. I have often wondered about it. I hope you share more with us soon. I'm glad you feel connected, that is so important.

Tea and karaoke? What an odd but wonderful combination!

You're not doing the Sun Salutation 108 times are you?!

These pictures conjure memories of my childhood (was born in Calgary and returned there often as a child). Those wide open spaces and soft browns and golds call to me more and more often.
Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures.
