From An Autumn Afternoon...

(Kananaskis Country,AB Sept.26,2009)

...and what is it exactly,
I wonder out loud,
that beckons this forest
to prick up her ears,
and listen to our secrets so
wholeheartedly?

on this most flawless day of sun and sky
dreams rustle...
then fall from the trees,
and land at our feet.

I pick up two or three...
unprepared for how perfectly concrete they feel,
in my hands.

I touch them wistfully...for just a moment...
then I pass them to you,
to be tucked in your pocket
for our safe-keeping.

(Our Path,Sept.26,2009)

Peace and love to you...

Oh, fall is really coming where you are - slower here, i am always sure it is really just kidding. Lovely images and words - dreams rustling is a beautiful thought.

What a beautiful poem and picture!

And I want to thank you Celeste for your lovely postcard. I was the lucky recipient of your beautiful artwork. And the quote that you picked is absolutely perfect! I used both the picture and the quote in my most recent blog post. Thank you for the inspiration and beauty! ; )
