A Pretty Little Treasure...and Purchased Bit of Spring

Gorgeous Garden Necklace by Jen(click to enlarge)

I had my breathe taken away this morning as I unwrapped a little red box...This is beyond beauty...To say that I LOVE it would be a big understatement. Jen, you've done it again!

I have been doing a little reflective hibernating under the snow...My mind has been so foggy and jumbled the past few days.
But...today I've come out to greet the sunshine....and bought myself a bit of early spring...The colours just made me smile...I hope they do the same for you...

This is one of my favorite parts of my house...my little breakfast corner... I got the table at an auction. There was an elderly couple in town that was moving to the old folks home. I paid 1.00. It's probably from the 30's or 40's...Anyway, I couldn't believe that no one else would want it. I love to imagine all the breakfasts that they must have had at it over they years...The quilt on the table is an antique crib quilt that I bought on our first trip to the Oregon coast. Jon thought I was nuts to buy it because it was so tattered...but that is what I love about it...

Do you have a favorite space in your home? Special treasures...maybe with untold tales? I'd love to hear about them...

And wherever you are...I hope you are having a wonderful day....

Oh hurrah, it got there...and wow, I love actually seeing it on you! I am so so pleased that you love it, I really am. And again, I can not thank you enough for your support.

The flowers are beautiful, and I love love that little kitchen nook and that table. It looks like a perfect spot to relax and have tea. I hope that the weather improves soon for you beautiful people to the north.

love, jen xoxo

Oh, you look so pretty and feminine with that lovely necklace!

I love that about old furniture...wondering who owned it, what it has "seen" in its life. I love to go through old houses too and wonder what stories the walls would tell me...if they could. There's something about the romantic mystery of it all.

I'm glad you are finding a little spring in your days, despite the snow. :)

i totally love old furniture as well...i feel sometimes that if you listen closely enough, you can hear it whisper its stories.

it's lovely to be prompted to think about which corners of your home you love best. as soon as my building project is done, i'll be pondering that one as well.

happy weekend!

beautiful you in the beautiful necklace ~ just gorgeous :)

i adore that table and love the story behind it. i much prefer something old and worn filled with soul than something new ... i would love to sit at that table with you, looks so comfortable and cozy :)

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your wooden shelf with the canning jars... oh, so sweet... imagine that I could visit (if you wouldn't mind, of course!), and we sat at in this sweet corner and drank tea (or coffee) and chatted and giggled... *sigh...

:-)

This made my day...

Love,
Me
