*Going No Where Fast...

...and loving it! Today is a very rare day in the life of me.
I'm 'supposed' to be cleaning my house. I'd 'planned' on finally finishing this painting...the Mount Everest sized pile of clean laundry 'needs' to be folded...and put away?!(You may think I'm slightly exaggerating the size of my laundry pile, but I'm not!)
And so....here I am...with my butt suction-cupped to my computer chair...reading some beautiful blogs...putting some really cool tie-dyed clothes on my ebay watch-list...and othewise doing sweet @#$% all.

And guess what? It's not bothering me a bit. In fact I'm wishing you a day like this real soon...and hoping that whatever you are up to today is filling you with joy.

Thanks for stopping by my blog - thought I'd come over to yours to say hi! I've enjoyed reading it, and love your artwork (and the photos of your house, and the story of your marriage... nice blog.
I hope you had a lovely restful day, going nowhere fast.

"Lovely...colourful...uncomplicated...just like the day I'm wishing for you"..most beautiful sentence I have heard in a while...thank you...my family live in Slave Lake, which is 2.5hour west from Edmonton...trust you are having fun...read this the other day...and that just made me stop...breath...enjoy...

Dusting

Remember...a layer of dust protects the Wood beneath it.

"A house becomes a home when you can write "I love you" on the furniture."

I used to spend at least 8 hours every weekend making sure things were just perfect "in case someone came over"
Finally I realized one day that no-one came over;they were all out living life and having fun!

NOW, when people visit, I don't have to explain the "condition" of my home.
They are more interested in hearing about the things I've been doing while I was away living life and having fun.
If you haven't figured this out yet, please heed this advice.

Life is short. Enjoy it!
Dust if you must.......
but wouldn't it be better to paint a picture or write a letter,
bake cookies or a cake and lick the spoon or plant a seed,
ponder the difference between want and need?!

Dust if you must, but there's not much time . . . .
with rivers to swim and mountains to climb,
music to hear and books to read, friends to cherish and life to lead.

Sweet daty to you...xx

Dust if you must, but the world's out there with the sun in your eyes,
the wind in your hair,
a flutter of snow, a shower of rain.
This day will not come around, again.

Dust if you must, but bear in mind, old age will come and it's not kind. . . .
And when you go - and go you must - you, yourself will make more dust!

he he...glad that you let it all sit, because as we know...it certainly is not going anywhere! :-)

That painting is just gorgeous...even my four year old son just pointed to it and said "look, love...I like that picture Mommy."
